Supriyo 6,008 Posted July 2, 2015 Radu,This image is very special for the following reason. Most pictures of bougainvillea are shot as an entire shrub with multiple flowers (there are a few in my folder as well). However individual flower can be interesting too, as you have shown here. Such intricate details captured along with a beautiful DOF. Next time I see a bougainvillea flower, I will remember to look closely. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 2, 2015 This looks like an illustration right out of a fairy story. Those could be little woodland elves tucked under the covers of their flower, sleeping soundly. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted July 11, 2015 This is such a beautiful flower. At one of our Garden Centres, they have then in about 5 different colours. I recall that they grow profusely in the Dominican Republic and I think many other tropical places. The colour of yours is so rich and one of my favorites. The detail you achieved in this shot is excellent Radu. Here in Canada I am pretty sure we have to bring them indoors during the Winter and replant outside in the Spring. The quality of light is so beautiful! (I'm sorry I am a bit behind on PN - will try to comment on your other beautiful postings as well :) Gail Link to comment
