In my 2014 Children folder, there is an image of a young boy who

along with his friend showed up at the pond in our Ecology Park last

August when I was taking Pictures. They dropped their large Jug and

started filling the pond with Leopard Frogs that they had found in a

marsh not far away. It was a day I thoroughly enjoyed by their

surprise visit. Young and much resembling young boys when I was a

youngster - full of excitement at their find, anxious to discover more

and lacking the trappings of many of today's youth - no Cell Phones

or other devices! Just their enthusiasm for what new discoveries

nature had brought their way on this glorious day. (visits and

thoughts expressed are always welcome. Sincere thanks, Gail)

Thank you Bill. It is a nice surprise when I meet someone I can enjoy conversing with when out taking images. Does not often happen!

Gail,  This is another nice one of yours.  Might you add more contrast in the green areas.  The image could stand to pop a bit more IMHO.  Best to you. Larry

Great little frog. I hope you got down and took some eye-to-eye shots as well. I just spoted the second denizen in the shot as well. Nicely captured.

Hi Gail, . . .

Bill and some of the Other's have it, . . . not only is the image itself excellent but, the back story brings back many Childhood memories.

Makes me wonder how we ever survived and learned anything at all with out the Television, Cell Phones, Computers, Gaming Systems and all these Electronics!

Cheers & Regards always,

Jim j.

Ahhh, the simple life, a little piece of Apple every now and then, the whole Galaxy above, and every time Sam has Sung his song over a few bugs it's like having Blackberry's for dessert.  ;-)   A very good capture and a story to make us think and remember.  In fact, I think I'll retire my cell phone upon retirement from work... A sweet image made even better by your introduction Gail. You have a knack for setting the viewers mind to what we are about to see, I mean this in a very good way. I like this POV. Take care my friend.

Best Always,  Holger

It is a bit comical - I did not notice the little one at first glance at this file. There was just enough sunlight filtering through the trees to enhance the light on the water. Many thanks Jamie for dropping by!

It is so good to hear from you. I think of you often on...but not enough. I should have sent you a note before this. Glad you enjoyed this one. I shall write soon!

yes such simple times when we never imagined the world would have the problems it does.  Yes there has always been War and other unmentionable things. I guess technology gives up a quicker 'view' of all the ugliness in the world. But I often think if we ever really thought at the time that we were so ' lucky' in our childhood worlds.
