Contrary to appearances it was the Grackle (left) and the Oriole (right) that put the run to this troublesome Crow.  But, as when the elephant in the room starts to move, everyone tries to get out of it's way.  LM.

Always good to hear from you.  I consider this a win as I didn't really think I'd be fast enough to capture all three birds in one frame, especially as they were all headed in different directions.  This is the second bird shot I've found favour with while heading to\returning from my local coffee shop.  Luck is generally good if one is constantly looking for the unusual.  Best, Len.

Amazing capture of the three birds Len! I particularly like the beautiful one in the upper right-hand corner!

Very nice exposure and composition. I am impressed that you could get close enough to that crow even with a 200mm lens. Maybe close to a town they are more used to seeing people and aren't so skittish. Or is this a crop from the larger frame? It certainly looks very sharp.

This did indeed take place close to town and has, unlike many of my posts,  very little cropping.  With a 200 mm lens I often have to crop severely but this is pretty much as shot  The crow was preoccupied by the smaller birds who were trying (I'm guessing here) to shoo him away from their nesting zone.  The birds were all traveling in different directions so luck was a big factor in getting them all in one frame.  Luck is good! :-) Thanks for your interest. Best, Len.

I must agree with you, 'a treetop mess' indeed.  Nature's like that.  Good to hear from you again.  Best, Len.
