You have the focus part down to a science. Well done.

 

Many years ago, a PN member told me why he had rated one of my flower images with a '4'. Here is what he mentioned: you can go for documentary style where you photograph it as you see it with some of it's surroundings that gives a viewer additional information. He mentioned that if you are going for aesthetics then you need the perfect unblemished version - white spots or otherwise should be cleaned up.

 

That, of course, is one opinion and I don't always follow that advice but I find it lingering in my mind when I approach a flower.
