Dear Jack and Dough,

Your comments flatter me. I am in general a fan of black and white flower images, since some flowers in color overshadow their nice texture and shape. I thought this flower fits that criteria. I have a few more of the shots from the same day. I will try to do something creative with them, now that I have got your encouragement.

Color in a flower can be so seductive that it is difficult to consider black and white  which is about, form, texture and tonal range. This one has all of those criteria for BW. Well Done!

PS I just peaked at the ratings and I am surprised to see it below '5'. I have decided to rate '6'.
