dgv 1 Posted June 6, 2015 The synchro pair of the Red Arrows is rolling onto the runway, they would hold there until they get the command to take off. Last July the Red Arrows celebrated fifty display seasons, hence the motif on their rudders. They took their show to eighty six different countries. Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted June 6, 2015 Wonderful, deep, "hearty" colors, absolute sharpness AND one of my favorite subjects!!!Besides the above, two more noticeable things here:a) the two wheels, that the way you arrange them, look like part of the landing gear system of a really big plane.b) the photo starts from the left with word "FORCE" and ends two the left with the visualisation of that word!!!Wish i were there with you Dimitri.Keep on shooting. dgv 1 Posted June 6, 2015 You have read the picture perfectly Mihali !. The jet wash raised so much dust that it change the colour of the sky...-:). Don't worry about your typo, I knew what you meant anyway. I make a lot of typos myself which I notice afterwards..-:). When I uploaded this picture I ticked the wrong lens in the metadata... The Red Arrows practice a lot in Crete because of the weather there. The dream of flight started in Crete with Daidalos in the Minoan period...you know the myth. I am glad we share the same enthusiasm about flight. Many thanks my friend. Link to comment

panayotis_papadopoulos 0 Posted June 9, 2015 It's a photo that plays around with your visual sense and I like that...I would call it one clever photo since it manages to keep the eye busy for a long time till you understand what the photographer wanted to frame and publish. Very good and intriguing work my friend! Cheers! Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted June 11, 2015 This is how the majority of my 'birds in flight' shots turn out; nothing but tail feathers as the bird exits the frame. Gotta start 'leading' them more. Best, Len. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 12, 2015 Same here Len, same here....most of the time.....:-). These tails were deliberate though. My best regards. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 26, 2015 Excellent colour and detail - the heat coming out of the exhaust is so evident. Nothing wrong with taking images of the 'tail feathers' of these birds!!! They were painted so strikingly to honor the 50 Year Anniversary. What a sight it must have been! Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 26, 2015 Thank you very much indeed for your visit. Cropping the picture like this gives the viewer the chance to have a closer look...:-) In my book there is nothing wrong with that. Just emphasizing the important elements of a picture. Best regards. Link to comment
