Guest Guest Posted June 4, 2015 strange composition !It seems we are living today , only in two dimensions , which may be true , by losing spirituality throughout technique (very present, revealed by the vivid cars); You divided the reality in two plans , death is redundant (the image of the tree was enough explicit for death); So , the earth is flat ,and the cars are vivid , the drivers are living humans ,and they seem not to be disturb by the peisaje; I assume they are not seeing the death person; Is this a parabola of pollution combined with our technical mind? And another thing :the statue has volume , it’s coming from a three dimensional world, it has the privilege of the fourth dimension , the time;I hope you are not upset by my comment; I think I can talk about this image a lot, because for sure it's making oneself to be reflexive on our present world;Keep going Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted June 4, 2015 Most interesting PD. The tree and cars have a shadow but the grim reaper does not......Of course. Fine work my friend.Best, Holger Link to comment
morophaenixmau 17 Posted June 4, 2015 Una morte minacciosa incombe ma un..."filosofo" ci protegge. Le automobili, la banalità della vita, esorcizzano la...fine! Qui la morte non fa paura. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 261 Posted June 5, 2015 Thank you for the thorough observation, Raluca! Maybe the Death is redundant, but makes the image more explicit! The cars may not be in motion and then the tree isn't representing Death by itself, not disturbing though, the comment I mean! Thank you, Andrew! I like it too! Thank you, Holger! The Death is an apparition and cannot have a shadow, yes! Molto interessante e, suppongo vera osservazione, caro Maestro! Pardon, non supposta, Quando dici qualcosa deve essere vero! Tu sei una persona onnisciente! Mille grazie! PDE Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 5, 2015 I am still asking about the shadows; is the under plan the world of the shadows?http://www.quora.com/Can-a-2-dimensional-object-cast-a-shadow Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 261 Posted June 5, 2015 Raluca, I couldn't find the word "shadows" in your comment and considering the under world it hasn't passed my mind, the shadows are simply shadows and the Death doesn't have one because it isn't a material entity! No body - no shadow! Just for case you say it has body, we see it, I will say we see it in our mind! PDE P.S. You applied a link to some article and to tell you the truth I quite don't understand what it has to do with this picture! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 261 Posted June 5, 2015 Thank you for your precious visit and nice comment, Marta Eva! Cheers PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 261 Posted June 7, 2015 Never, Jamie! Spirits, apparitions and ghosts of all kinds never have shadow! And traffic coppers never look like that, they have handcuffs and cop caps! Sometimes even a whole uniform, aha! PDE P.S. And a whistle! Never without a whistle! Link to comment
