All That isn't Beautiful

Larger view available, not needed for this one. As I finished a

relaxing walk among the gardens in an old stately neighborhood

adjacent to the downtown Vancouver tourist district, I looked

forward into this puff of blight. Imagine having this for a view from

the flanking upscale apartments on either side. Since the scene

seemed worthy of a capturing click, I thought I'd share it. Please

Whether appropriate or not, my first thought was Longfellow - "Into each life a little rain must fall".   I guess the luxury guys will have to tough it out ;-)... Mike

Mike,   Thanks for the Longfellow insight.  I actually got the title here from Ben Shahn, an American artist that painted many social satires.  He has a painting of construction cranes titled "All That is Beautiful."  I appreciate your visits.  Larry
