Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 22, 2015 This one looks the most natural. The tones are good and there's enough detail in the shadows. The sepia ones seem to make the face of the building to blotchy where here it blends in more smoothly with its surroundings. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 22, 2015 Thanks, Jack. This one was a simple desaturation. I never did manage to get the sky to display properly, given the brightness of the day combined with the deep darkness of the primary subject here--the building itself. I would like to see what a master of black and white digital conversions such as yourself could do with the only color file that I came away with that day. (All of these were generated from that one file.) My own attempted experiments with alternative black and white conversion techniques were not really successful. --Lannie Link to comment
