I am glad that there is quite a few comments on this photograph. The image certainly deserves it. I can only echo all the positives. A fine shot indeed.

stephanie c.  The composition is simple but effective.  I like the isolation of the subject.  I also like the exposure and tonal range because it enhances the somber nature of the photograph.  I took me a while to see that you have two horizons.  The obvious one between the sky and water and the more subtle one between the beach and water (really outstanding).  Finally, I like the texture of the beach and the vignette that you have leads to the subject.  Outstanding work.  Dana...
