Technically this piece is in serious need of some work. This is a prime example of exposure issues. The background is somewhat exposed properly, which has left your main subject seriously underexposed. Post processing should be able to help this tremendously, and Im just wondering why you didn't attempt to do that before loading it.

i do agree with the  above comment to an extend. their faces are a bit dark . however other than that     its one of those extraordinary moments that are simple and unexaggerated that i love so much

The shadows details are very well seen in my Dell studio laptop ,even the hair details and the black mother dress ,but I think certain areas in the image needs to be selectively highlighted like the baby dress and her eyes too ,and also a little bit of the mother face .I can not determine what else unless I work the image .

A fine motherhood shot and so emotive too.

Regards.

Their expressions are all almost alike, making an interesting image. It is a little dark, making it hard to make them out. It looks like the light was just too low for a good image - maybe higher iso next time?  It might even be too dark to lighten in ps without noise showing up.

This is a good portrait that keeps the eye moving among the three main subjects.  The contrast in the clothing helps visually separate the individuals, and the colorful beads and differing hair styles add interest.  I sense a closeness in this family.

For processing, I think the shadows could use more contrast, and the whole scene lightened a bit.  An alternative treatment for the light background would be to lighten it further and lower its contrast to lessen detail.  Sure, there is some noise in the shadows, but not enough to distract from the subject.

This shot has the potential to be a winner and I certainly appreciate having the version you loaded as opposed to no version. I performed some minimal post processing and then converted it to B&W. If this image was taken in RAW, then there is an opportunity for even better post processing.

PS It has been a while since you have commented on any of my images!

Here is the B&W version.

Tony, I just got back from 3 months in Indonesia and SE Asia. Left very few comments while I was traveling will try to pick up the pace now that I am home. I like your b&w  treatment of this image.
