Dear Sue, I've seen all your series of lotus flower.

What attracts me the most in this image is general brightness/lighting achieved by the parameters you've used, your aperture is also perfect for bluring around and selective focus on the flower open.

 

Another advantage added is composition, very wise and careful, good use of thirds. And the variety of greens, due to light and natural changes in the vegetation.

This flower is very beautiful, thanks for sharing. :)
