Thanks Jamie, I spotted this yesterday on my backyard, I was actually shooting a squirrel, but noticed the sunlight shining nicely on this branch. I had my old 400 mm lens and it blurred the background smoothly. I shot a few frames @ f8, but those didn't look so good, there were some aperture blades shapes visible in the background highlights.

not with a camera, though....

noticed the lens after i commented before. i was surprised that it was so long. the picture doesn't look like that to me. best, j

The effect of this green bright on dark bg is very good looking,simple things strong visual impact.About the aperture,I think is ok to have all those circles of light as  result of this,sometime bokeh is interesting.
