Hi Mark,   This is an excellent image, well composed, nice B&W conversion, excellent sky and light.  If you follow the top of the canyon ,where the rocks meet the sky, you'll notice a white shadow.  I've had this problem also.  Advice I have gotten is that this can be caused by over sharpening.  I am not sure.  I find it a bit annoying in my images.  It can be removed by careful cloning.  What do you think?   This issue in no way diminishes the excellent image you have here.  Larry
