Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 10, 2015 This picture captures some of the old movie star glamor of days gone by and the glowing colors are befitting a matinee idol. But here I'd say the nose ring has to go, it really doesn't fit the carefully crafted romantic studio mood you have created besides drawing far too much attention. (I have nothing against nose rings, by the way, just not here.) Link to comment
James G. Dainis 300 Posted June 5, 2015 Very nice. Yes, the nose ring has to go unless this is a paying client and she insists on it. "It is who I am." I am not used to nose rings so it was a major distraction for me. I kept wondering how light could be reflected so brightly on that shadowed side of the nose and nostril. If I knew the woman and her nose ring it wouldn't have been a problem for me. Link to comment
color 3 Posted June 8, 2015 Jack, James, I get your point about the nose ring. This probably would be a nicer portrait without it. Link to comment
bgelfand 1,236 Posted June 17, 2015 I agree with Jack and James. Not only should the nose ring go, but also the tattoo on her right (frame left) arm should go. And they can courtesy of Photoshop. Otherwise a great image - the lighting is superb. It establishes the mood. Link to comment
