yanzhang 1 Posted May 10, 2015 It was a very exciting experience to the region of Patagonia. During a 3-week expedition in April 2015, we explored both Torres del Paine in Chile and Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina through extensive hiking and backpacking. This gallery contains some images I made from this trip, which, I believe are adding a new dimension to my journey of mountain photography. We camped two nights near Laguna Torre. This image was taken on the second day after sunset, while lenticular clouds were forming above Cerro Torre. Thanks for viewing this image. Link to comment
confindelmundo 0 Posted May 10, 2015 Yan Zhang, Trully impressive photograph. I live in Patagonia and I know what I say. To Do such a shot in only 2 days, is a miracle or very good luck with the weather. Deserves a 7. Link to comment
confindelmundo 0 Posted May 10, 2015 Will go to my favourites. Speed was around 1/30 s? Link to comment

yanzhang 1 Posted May 10, 2015 Daniel, the speed was 0.3 second. For this shot, capturing the water flowing details was a main task for me, while the rest elements of the scene were already in place. By the way, I spent 2 weeks in El Chalten, so I had a chance to watch out the weather changes, and headed for backpacking trips to various locations. Link to comment
confindelmundo 0 Posted May 11, 2015 Yan Zhang, Even with two weeks in Chalten, you were lucky. I have been on some locations in Torres del Paine up to 5 weeks before some magic light happened. Thanks for the speed information. I am happy that so good photographers come and visit Patagonia. You are one of them and we all can learn from you. Link to comment
