Race!

Just a great angle and a perfect composition to display the entire fleet (or at least a lot of it) heading out to sea. I really like this one.

These boats have just taken the starting flag for the lobster fishing

season;loaded with 150 to 200 traps each weighing 150 lbs,it is with

11 to 15 tons on board that the race to the best fishing spots is

on.On this day,the frontrunner had calm waters to navigate but all the

others ended up in very rough waters stirred up by the close to 100

boats taking this signal.An interesting sight for the onlookers but a

treacherous adventure for these fishermen.Thank you for your

Great shot.  Powerful portrayal of a single objective.

Thank you my friend.You guessed this was taken from high on the bridge under which the boats proceed once the signal is given.The distance between where the boats stand waiting for this go-ahead and the bridge is very short and this scene lasts  for a few seconds after which the view on the rush is on the other side of the bridge.
