The guy in the red coat is positioned very well in relation to the horizontal band of blue sky and his companion on the deck below. This, along with the diagonal composition, makes for an interesting and dynamic photo. What is it about diagonals the so energizes a picture? (even the man in the coat is on a bit of a diagonal.)

Diagonals do it! The man in red has to lean back to counter act the pull from the heavy balasted trap and this conveniently suits the shot as you note.Hard work these few initial days as the 300 traps have to be taken from storage, trailered here, baited, loaded and then re-handled again as they are dropped on the bottom for fishing. Then, for the next 60 days, all 300 traps will have to be raised daily, lobster taken out, measured to ensure legal size(small ones thrown back in water),claws rubber banded to ensure market quality, traps re-baited and dropped back in.If take is low/insufficient,traps are moved to a new location(traps are strung in groups of 7 and as they are dropped in the water, location of the head and tail traps are GPS located on the boat computer for easy recovery).

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
