Seems equipment is ready for new season.I think they can do this for a short period of time,considering how long winter is.

Wonderful shot looking down this aisle with cages, nets and floats on either side. A unique and colorful picture of the accoutrements of the fishing industry.

Here the gear is set on wharf for the scheduled 1st May opening.This year,the ice conditions were extreme and the start was delayed until today;once the Fisheries declare the ice conditions ''safe'',it goes fairly fast to bait and load these on the boats.Thank you for checking in.

Thank you....and amazingly,in all the years I have been witness to this,I have never seen a tangle.Here,they are individually tied and as they are loaded on the boat,they are regrouped in strands of 7 with a head and tail buoy at either end.Dropping in the water goes very fast and the strands are GPS located.

Thank you kindly.A few days before loading,the wharf apron is marked up with allocated areas for every lot of 300 traps leaving this type of corridor for the ropes/buoys...makes for a pretty impressive/colorful sight when all 60-70 lots are in place.

All these "lobster activity" photos at Miscou are very nice and you do it always with new interesting angles and with style Laurent! As you know, this is "music" for my eyes and soul! Thanks my friend!

Laurent;

This is so good. I've spent many hours along fishing docks and never seen anything like this. Wonderful photo. Thank you for sharing.

This is an annual scene on all of our small wharfs come mid-April.This exact(or almost) image can be reproduced on a yearly basis as the fishermen are assigned their regular spots on the apron;as impressive as this looks,the parade of trailers within the limited space during offloading is a scene to behold.When the depature date is finally set,the activity reaches its peak when baiting and loading onto the boats is kicked off.Glad you like this.
