Great expression by the subject. Highlight & detail on the face is nice. Light on the other elements in the foreground are subdued enough not to distract. I have a weakness for a hard focus portrait. You've done a nice one.

A wonderful portrait perfectly done in B&W. It is good that the foreground is dark so that the elements don't detract from the person.  There is an intensity in her eyes and one can only hazard a guess - someone needs to make a serious decision?  I know that raters are sensitive to off-kilter lines like the window horizontal otherwise you may have scored higher.

All the very best,

Dear Tony,

Thank you very much for your detailed critic. I am grateful that you stopped by this pic. Yes, I noticed the oblique window line. For these impromptu shots, I usually tend to post the picture as is. Its upon the viewers to decide whether the lack of aesthetics take away from the quality of the image or whether it adds to the tensed atmosphere reflected in the dark tone and grave expression.
