Great!

Serene, elegant while still telling a story.

It's almost too perfectly balanced in threes. But in this case that looks great.

It might look good if you step even more back but I expect that you would get more mess in the frame which would detroy the story of the pervading emptiness.

Thanks for sharing,

Matthijs.

Amen brother, too true. This is great in it's simplicity at getting the message across, very effective. 6 for originality.

I don't understand the low rating. I'm with the ones praising this image. This is really a case of less is more... for me the minimal composition is so strong, from an aesthetic perspective it has an huge impact... and the message is there. I'm far from being a technical nerd but the only thing I see here that I wish it was different is that this may be a bit overexposed. However this doesn't subtract anything to the greatness of this image.

Congrats & regards,

Thank you for the positive and helpful comments. I want to assure you that everything you see in this image was "intentional" to insure the desired effect. I tried lots of different scenarios in an effort to re-live the emotion it evoked in me while looking at this stark and empty scene. I even added a bit of Orton Effect to give it a bit of a surreal look. However, there is always room for improvement though comments. Regarding ratings. Ratings used to puzzle the heck out of me...and I guess they still do, but I find some entertainment value in them now, unlike in the past. Comments are most important to me....even if I have moved one individual to write.  Thanks again.
