Rigging up!

The crab boats were taken off the skip and lowered in the wharf

enclosure to start rigging up ,but getting to the high seas is delayed

as the ice sheet in the harbour is still unbroken.Thank you for your

A bright and colorful scene and I'm sure the fishermen are ready to go.  Makes me want some seafood... Mike

This local wharf is particularly colorful as it accomodates the majority of the crab-fishing fleet and as colorful it is on these initial days,it will get really still more colorful as the remainder of the vessels are slipped in the water.When the ice is heavy as this year,some of these boats even get rigged on the skip  before being lowered in the water making for interesting scenes as the fishermen get their snow blowers going to free the access to the boats and start loading the rig.Thank you for the observation....and that seafood coming out of that cold water will be some good.
