with a little help from Botticelli ..

I can't place this for critique in "digital alterations" .. so it has to go in the

"nudes" section

very interesting work John...PN needs to consider how to put digitally altered nudes into a separate category...i've had problems with this and have talked to Bob Atkins but the long and short of it is that these pics go into the "nudes" as they depict nudity...what I think one can do, although PN may discourage it, is to place it in the digital alterations category and tag it as a nude, which warns viewers about "possible nude content" if they have their nude filters on...it sounds a little nutty as I write this...oh well, they'll figure it out someday...regards....David

Thank you David. I did try what you suggest with a portrait that exhibited some nudity, but found it transferred to the nude critique section soon after.

Lovely work John! Great treatment of the model to match the surrounding artwork.

Best Regards,

Peter

PS. Coincidentally I am currently working on a piece that includes some work of the masters as well. I should be posting it next week.

John:  Very different than you're usual photos.  I like it.  She looks like she belongs in the painting.  Good PSing. Botticelli would be jealous of not having your models.  Alan.

Haha, well Botticelli's models are beyond comparison, but thank you Alan.

And this is where the model came from .. I looked at it, though of Botticelli and searched for the original painting to make the transfer ..

A lovely combination. She fits the image to perfection whether it was intended from the start or an imaginative excursion. So what if ladies they were a little more robust in the Renaissance. I admire this effort a lot,John. Regards, Gerry

Thank you Gerry, the model may have been inspired by her knowledge of Botticelli, but I only saw the connection afterwards ..  : -)

Haha, thank you Lannie. No, not at all, she just happened to fit perfectly.

I think that the flashback to Botticelli is where the little credit lies, if at all.
