Lovely depth of colour. Fabulous capture of what I have always thought to be a very 'uncommon' bird - but that is it's name... :) Very nice work Rick!

Thanks all for taking the time comment. A beautiful bird but, as you say Erik, difficult to photograph. The key is to set exposure manually so that the white feathers are not clipped and then to bring out the black feather detail in post processing.
