Dave,

This is a stunning image and I like it pretty much as you shot it.  Your exposure  and color balance is spot on, it is well composed, had your DOF is excellent.  Just wish the bit of elk in the lower right corner was not there but if you cropped that out you would lose the majestic elk that was your focus.
