I have a neighbor who has such a beautiful garden. Perennials

bloom from Spring to Fall, along with Healthy Produce, Berries for

Preserves and mixed in with it all, some beautiful flower baskets that

hang from her Pergola. She is always happy to let me come over

and take images. It is always an enjoyable afternoon in her Garden.

She takes great pleasure in answering all my questions and usually

sends me home with some fresh goodies to enjoy for supper. This T

Cup is one of her Garden Ornaments. I found it to be so lovely and it

spoke to me of quiet afternoons enjoying a fine cup of Tea and

listening to all the sounds that sing in this little Oasis. (visits and

thoughts shared are always welcome, many thanks, Gail :)

Thank you Bill.  I happened upon the folder this shot was in a few days ago. I forgotten all about it. I really love unique Garden 'Bling', and this one was something I'd never seen before.  My neighbor and her husband just arrived home from Florida yesterday. I thought it would make a nice 'Welcome Home' Card for her. She loves flowers so much, I often give her some of my images in 'Card Form' so she can send them to friends....often she has said she doesn't really want to give them away.  Your encouraging remarks are always appreciated Bill.

The cup looks like hovering although I know it isn't! Very impressive and reminding of small things making one happy! Well done, Gail!

Best regards

It seems the older I get, it is the 'simple' things that make me happier. There was a time when I yearned for a nicer piece of furniture, etc. all things that just age....and you need to replace them.  I loved to decorate. I still do to a point. But all these things could disappear in a moment.  So I have begun to cherish 'moments' that I can recall that remind me of this lovely sunny afternoon spent in my neighbor's garden.  The cup jogs my memory of the aroma of the Garden...the sounds of the birds and insects....the haze or sunlight on a certain flower...all so simple yet tangible.  Thank you Pierre for dropping by. It is so good to hear from you.

Beautiful. Initially I did not make the connection with the flowers and those 'printed' on the  teacup but when I did make that connection, the image was more brilliant.

Very beautiful Gail. The dof of this image is excellent it really draws my focus on the cup and it's pattern. Very well captured, your neighbors garden seems delightful and calming from your description. You're lucky to have such a place to visit.

Best Always,  Holger

This t cup is beautiful, Gail and well photographed, good dof, nice sharpness  (maybe a little more space around?)

I always enjoy reading the comments of your pictures, and I realize that you know how to enjoy the simple things in life... a walk in the garden, the sounds of nature, a friendly conversation ...

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

This one resonates with me a whole lot!

So typically "English" tea on the terrace with a jam and cream scone, the tinkle of tea spoons stirring and a warm sunny spot with friends, what could be better than that!

Love it!

Best Regards

I thought you would like this one. Sharing a conversation with a friend in the Garden over a cup of Tea, or just spending a few quiet moments relishing in the 'calm' that comes from communing with nature as you sip your favorite Brew.  Thanks so much for those kind and encouraging thoughts shared Alf. Cheers to you, Gail

Yes we all need this place of 'calm' where we are apart from the busEness of the world and all it's cares. When I am in a Garden such as this one, there is always a 'visual' surprise around every turn.

Wouldn't it be great if we could share a cup of tea and just enjoy that calm moment together....share our thoughts on Photography....or just enjoy that 'peace' that envelopes one in such a place.  My friend Marg no sooner got home from Florida and she was out inspecting her Garden. I spoke to her today - she was eager to do some tidying up but our weather has been so strange. First cloudy, then the sun comes out just for minutes, next Hail beats upon us, it clears up - only to snow these large a beautiful flakes that softly drop to the ground.  It continued to do the same without any warning most of the afternoon.  But tomorrow is another day for her to enjoy!!

Your support and visits are ones that always are enjoyed.  You both have a positive outlook on life and truly enjoy all that is beautiful!

Yes, more room to the left would have been optimal. I could do that. There were a lot of very dark, murky colour to the left that was making it very difficult for me to Edit.  I hope to have another go at it soon. Thanks so much Rosario for your encouragement and thoughts shared. I appreciate your feedback and am eager to try again.

Sincere regards, Gail

Yes, I count myself very fortunate to be able to 'share' in Marg's garden.  She is a lovely person and I am always excited to know when she and her husband Bob have returned from Florida. It is almost like a 'sign' that Spring is finally here and very soon there will be lovely blooms both at the front and back of her home!!

I imagine you pause often in your day to rest and enjoy the wonderful sounds and aromas that Nature offers to us. We just have to 'stop' and learn to relax and enjoy the moment.  I believe you do this often-you are so 'in tune' with the earth. Sincere appreciation for your visit Radu, I will be over to seen what beautiful things you have added to your Portfolio today!!!!!!!!!!

your friend far away, Gail

How demure, Gail, a very lady-like picture. It feels like Spring has come both seasonally and personally. I especially like the sharp contrast between the floral design on the cup and the more impressionistic daisies fore and aft.
