I've never been able to obtain an image of one of those very little

jumping Spiders. Last summer I managed to get most of the details

of one but it isn't really great. I figured it was okay to use in a Digital

Alteration Composition. I had a bit of fun working on this, however

what I enjoy for 'fun' may not translate into what others like to look

at. Hope this one, if anything, makes you chuckle....perhaps just a

little bit :) tnks, Gail

Hi Gail, Congrats on capturing such an elusive subject, not just small but also frequently moving.

wonder of nature. Hugs.

I'm not sure what category this would fit in, but I'd call it a 'natural abstract'......taking things from the natural world and making something unusual or unexpected from them.  This gets an 8 from me on a scale of 1-7.  B&W was a great choice too.  I got your message last night......thanks!

This is an intriguing picture that dances between the categories. It feels like it's been imported from another world. In a way it has been - a macro world. I almost missed the eyes of the observer who seems equally fascinated by the scene. Quite a powerful and mysterious shot.

It started out quite simple, little spider on Gerbera daisy. Flower of course was much bigger.  Then I decided to try some textures. It was still missing something as things got near to being finished. Decided to add in my granddaughter's eyes (from a photo from when she was just 4 years old.  Good to hear you enjoyed it Jack.

Sincere thanks Christal.  I figured I was safe with Digital Alterations - it is quite 'altered'. Good to hear you like it. Thanks so much for your message :)

Your skill and creativity shines through here. I would be worried for the spider since there is an ominous look to other parts of the image.

Sincere thanks for your encouraging remarks, truly appreciate them.  I don't think this little spider has too much to worry about :) bigger, creepier things in the garden :)

Hello Gail: I have been away from PN's forum for quite a while having been involved in a demanding personal project, but I now return afresh to posting and commenting. Glad to be back, and glad to see stunning images like this one. I find it very special in tonality and colors, and the placing and sharpness of the spider is superb. I like your work very much. Best regards.
