michaellinder 16,611 Posted April 6, 2015 A splendid image, demonstrating the power of using the entire grayscale range and dramatic contrast. Your title has strong symbolism, indicating that being alone and being lonely are not the same. Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted April 10, 2015 And I'd say a successful 'attempt to be different'. There is a certain tension created by the tree trunk leaning toward the right edge of the frame, with the branches extending out of it. There is just enough texture in the white areas to give a context, yet not interfere with the simplicity of the image. Great job! Link to comment

Supriyo 6,008 Posted January 23, 2016 Tony,Great find and creativity. Such a beautiful tree, waiting to be photographed. I did notice the cropped branches on the right. Reasonable interpretation from Cristal Steele regarding the tension created by the leaned truck and the cropped branches. I am also curious to know your take on it. Why did you make the conscious choice to crop off the branches? I have seen your earnest efforts to think laterally and be creative. Hope I could learn something from your way of thinking. Thank you, Link to comment
