My neighbor was out pampering his 'Little Deuce' last June on a

lovely warm day. Because we don't often see his 'Treasure', I

rushed over to see if he'd mind if I take a few images. I started out

with my EF 100mm Macro (had my EF 24-105 along as well). I got

as close to the car as I could manage because the water hoses were

spread all over the driveway. This shot pretty well filled the frame on

my T4i. There were lots of reflections from the house and flowers out

front. I'm pretty sure the reflection you see over and across the trunk

is the 'down pipe of the eavestrough'. I do want to now do a Black

and White Version to see how it turns out. (your visits and comments

are always appreciated, many thanks, Gail :)

Both pictures are very nice, but I like the vibrance in the coloured one more, however I keep getting distracted by the green on the left.

I much prefer this one as the color gives more vibrance to the image. Now,the car enthusiast in me is confused as this Deuce seems to be compressed on the width, even the licence plate looks a little tall;could that be a lense effect or are my aging eyes playing tricks on me.Nevertheless,a choice image.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

I prefer this one as well. Michel - the car was parked close to the interlock brick garden wall and the hedge.  The green does not draw my eye, but we all see things differently.  I really didn't want to remove the background - perhaps one day I might try. Thanks though for your thoughts shared, it all is a valuable learning lesson.

A most amazing surface... I feel like I could reach out and touch it and it would feel like silk when I did... Marvelous!

Many thanks for dropping by.....I was surprised how well the shine on the car was captured.  Our neighbor truly takes good care of his 'Little Deuce'.

I really am not sure how to respond re 'compressed' this is how the image came out of the camera. I am not sure if my Macro would have anything to do with that??? I don't think I'd blame your 'aging' eyes, mine have seen better years as well. Many thanks for your kind words expressed :) Gail

Yes it is a beauty. We only see it when our neighbor decides to take 'her' out for a drive, or decided to give her a nice wash and polish.  My husband has had many cars over the years and did restore an older car, but nothing as 'beautiful' as this one.

Thank you for your thoughts shared.  The green hedge does not distract me - but I can see how some might find it distracting.  I had thought of trying to take it out but then I would have had to take out the 'garden wall' as well.
