My Mom's Birthday is on Sunday, and if she were still here with us

today, this would be a very Special Weekend. We would be

gathering at my parent's home, sharing some laughs and probably

some fond memories as well. She would open her presents and be

telling us 'you shouldn't have', all the while knowing she couldn't stop

us from finding something we knew she would enjoy. Later on, we

would take her out for her Birthday Dinner and of course share in her

Birthday Cake. There would have been so many candles on it this

year!!! I had a wonderful dream a few nights ago. Mom was in it, and

in most of my dreams I have of her these days, she is always as

young as she was in this picture that my Dad took about 36 years

ago. I didn't want to wake up. We were just enjoying each other's

company - relaxing and chatting like always, sharing a few laughs.

It seemed so real. I scanned this photo. It was quite damaged, but I

did my best to recover some of the lovely details in her face.

Because I love Photography so much, I feel most comfortable

remembering her here. While it is not necessary to do so, it makes

me feel good to pay Tribute to her. She was a very loving Mother

who should never be forgotten, especially on her Birthday. Love you

always Mom, XO Gail

Hi Gail,

Beautiful tribute for you mom, I understand how hard it.  They will always be with us in our heart.  When the apple tree's are in bloom I always think of my mom & her telling me when she was a little girl she made her play house under the apple tree's because they smelled so good.  Take care, Patsy

I have been so fortunate to get to know you better during our telephone conversations.  I know how big your heart is, how much you love your Daughter and your beautiful Grandchildren.  Family means so much to you.  I appreciate your kind words as I remember my Mom. While I miss her, I know she is with me still.  Enough time has passed that the pain of her loss has dulled, replaced by 'remembering'....all the wonderful memories I have of her.  I was so fortunate to have such a loving Mother. I can only hope that others were or are - so fortunate. If not, I hope they have found someone in their lives that has shown them the meaning of 'Mother Love'.

Thank you my dear friend; hoping you are soon going to be enjoying warmer temperatures just I hope we will!!! Big Hugs, Gail

You have shared so many wonderful thoughts and memories with me of your Mom and helped me cope while Mom was ill.  I appreciate your presence in my 'life' here on PN so much.  What a wonderful spot for your Mom's play house, under an apple tree.  I long for the Apple Blossoms in Spring, they are among the most beautiful and fragrant.  It is wonderful when we have a fragrance that reminds us of your Mothers.  Soon you will be able to wake up and smell those lovely blossoms!

My sincere thanks for visiting and sharing your warm thoughts.  I visited your Portfolio and saw your images of your Grandma!!! I can tell that you have a big heart and have so much love in your heart for these women who care for us so deeply over the years.  I will come and visit your images again, it will be a pleasure!

Yes, Radu, once Sunday is here (only a few hours) I will be thinking more of Mom and her Birthdays.  I always looked forward to her Birthday - always ended up picking up more than one Card because I loved the words so much, and of course Mom always would know that they would bring a few tears to her eyes..... You are a very caring and sensitive man Radu - your big heart and love for all that is beautiful is evident in your images!! Many thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

Your Mother has the face of an Angel, Gail and you will see her young face once again! Warm regards, Rob

What a lovely comment to see Robert.  I am so sorry I did not see it earlier.  Yes, I only see love in her face. I know I will see her 'young' face again. What a blessing it is to 'know' that. Sincere appreciation for those very kind and meaningful words Robert.

Yes, I do not know how I would exist without knowing she is 'that close' to me. I think we are like-minded when it comes to the love we have for our parents Holger.  We are fortunate to have parents who love us so much and were such wonderful care givers over the years.
