A very nice image of this bird with a beautiful iridescent plumage, the background recalls these colors, ciao Giangiorgio

Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! Took me a few days to get this since it's hard to get the bird focus with the 1.4 extender and they tend to fly very eratically when landing.

It must be very hard to be there at the right "light-conditions" to capture these iridescent colors?

It's not hard with timing since every late afternoon of sunshine day will do  (around 5:45 - 6:15PM) but it's tricky to get them at the right angle to get the light to shine right  and they tend to land far away in various places of the pond. They also land fast and fly very eratically when they land. I had thought the Skimmers are eratic flyer but these birds are even worse when they land.
