Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 25, 2015 Larger image preferred. How I forget to carry a camera when I'm out dog walking or just around town. So I revert to my trusty iPhone that I outfitted with a 645Pro app that captures images as tiffs. I'd be most grateful to hear your opinions on this one. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
lynnemass 10 Posted March 25, 2015 Great lead lines, nice in square format. In PP, I might consider darkening the foreground rocks on the left just a tad to help guide the viewer's eye even more into the image. Nice wide scape shot, especially considering it is iphone! Link to comment

alfbailey 1 Posted March 25, 2015 Very impressive results from the iphone, lots of good foreground detail and the contrasting shades in the curves and lines make for interesting leading lines. The far buildings become a bit smudgy, but I think that is probably more to do with dof than image quality?Great result Larry! Alf Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted March 26, 2015 Great tones, leading lines and detail. Very impressive from a phone... Mike Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 26, 2015 Lynne, Nice to connect with you on this image. If you are seeking a square format for iPhone, you might want to consider the 6x6 app that simulates a medium format camera. Your comment about the foreground rocks is interesting - thanks. I appreciate your compliments on the image. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 26, 2015 Patsy, Thanks for your visit and comment. It is the lines of white and grays that interested me in this image too. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 26, 2015 Hi Alf, Thanks for visiting. I appreciate your compliments. The iPhone has gotten quite good, but processing requires a lot of tlc. I am impressed that both the 645 Pro and 6x6 apps for iPhone make RAW tiff files out of the images straight from the camera. I find that holding the camera still is a real challenge. Somehow the image took at f 2.4, hence the muddy dof. Thanks again for your comment. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 26, 2015 Mike, Thanks for weighing in with your compliments on this image. I live quite close to this wonderful lake, Lake Minnetonka and am trying to do more local photography. Larry Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted March 26, 2015 I'm always amazed at the results that can come from an I Phone Camera. Even though you had to work at this a bit, you truly did a fine job. I am not familiar with the I Phone much or it's apps, but know quite a few people who have them and I'm amazed at the Photo apps I've seen. This shot has some really good detail in the foreground and as it goes off into the far background, it kind of has a 'watercolour' feel, but the transition is quite smooth and rather pleasing! How is Barclay doing these days??? Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted March 30, 2015 I like the bands starting with the rocks on the left and then moving my eyes to the right. Excellent. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 30, 2015 Tony, Thanks. I case you use an iPhone, you may want to look at the 645Pro and the 6x6 apps. These tools bring the iPhone up a few notches. Larry Link to comment
