Thanks for viewing/comments! .. not the best lighting condition to shoot but in a way

with no sunlight then the defuse light prevent harsh shadows ...

I've never had luck photographing a hummingbird, they are too fast for my skills. Good job here, and I especially like the color of the head and its metallic appearance.

Warm Regards,

Rosario.

Thanks Mr. Mancil! He's just a fill-in actor since I was waiting for some real actor to come back and this guy happened to be a permanent one right behind me all day.

Thanks Rosario! The trick is to find him/her perching some place permanently (to guard what they consider their flower) then you have more luck shooting this type of shot. To get him to do this, I immitate his sound by tapping my tongue (first really fast and then slow down to one every second or so) . That's why I have so many shot like this, LOL!  I get them (especially the male HB) to do this most of the time (probably 95% of the time). It's somewhat hard for me to do because I shoot handheld and taping my tongue take my concentration away from being steady (as you probably already know that men can not multi task, lol) . When he does this it can happen any time and over very quickly.

You made me smile ... Besides being good photographer, I see you have other skills! Good pictures!
