I looked at the other pics in the folders first. In this picture, there are at least several other ones, i.e. there is too much content in this picture and it is not focused sharply. My recommendation is to take perhaps one window & one image, focus sharply and make that one exposure.

Nice subject, but maybe having taken a more novel approach with the angle instead of head on would have been appropriate.

The lack of sharpness is due to jpeg compression. Because there is so much info in this pic (colors, etc..) it was a particularly large file, so I lost detail in the compression. I agree I could've zoomed in closer except I didn't have the right lens for that at the time. Plaza Mayor is actually quite large and this image already is a small subsection of the buildings surrounding the square. It's also positioned fairly high (with restaurants or something like that underneath it) so one has to step back a good distance to avoid the sharp upward angle from shooting up close. I'm sure if I had a good zoom lens I could've gotten a closer shot. Maybe next time! :-)

I hope next time will be soon. If so, send me an EMail and I´ll try my best to go as well. I know the place and Margaret is right. It is a long distance and you need for this shot a good and long lense. Anyhow, the shot is quite good. Under the Spanish sunshine one can shoot everything. Bravo por la foto!!
