Over The Moon

Often attempted, but rarely done nearly as well as this.

Lannie, thanks for your unswerving encouragement. This definitely was often attempted as I spent a chilly evening on the porch trying to find the right settings on the Olympus to make the best of the scene. And I'll be darned if I can remember what I used for this shot. I think I shot a 128mb card and came up with two reasonable images. The great thing is, there'll always be another one next month *!*

Exellent photo. How many times were you out at night trying to get this composition together.

So glad you took a look at one of the shots. Haven't posted a whole lot lately. Been busy with a show, about 16 images of glorious Century plants going through their abrupt growth period, putting forth their seeds and dying. Gorgous colors. Archivally printed. Now in the Truth or Consequences Turtleback Gallery, opening Friday night, coincidentally the night of the full moon which you have celebrated beautifully. This one is an appropriate reminder of what those nights can be.

 

This is a marvelous piece of art. Gripping to me. Glad I looked and would be content to look at this one every night! Good work.

 

Wish you were closer. Will think of you Friday night. Come on down and howl!

Annually, you go thru what I call the 'Rod Serling' phase ................. And I always look forward to it ............... !!!

 

This one has grown on me over time. I didn't like the moon behind the tree at 1st but now I prefer it that way. I like the position of the elements in the frame too.

This make mee bark at the moon :) I love it !!! This is something that I will try when I have the skills to do it !
