Next time we have you guys over to the campground we'll make these for you......in the cast iron dutch oven over the fire.  Yum!!  We never ate at the Mountain Lodge.....or did we?  Can't remember the name of the place we ate with you, but I thought it had an Italian name.  Thanks!

This was the very first picture I took of food.  I was so proud of how they turned out because it was our first experiment in cooking in a dutch oven over a fire.  And believe me, they're as good as they look!  Thanks!

Sounds great!  The Mountain Lodge is a few miles out US321 and is a breakfast and lunch place.  Veeerrry local flavor and our favorite place in Gatlinburg.  Martha always orders the homemade cinnamon rolls and even manages to bring a couple home ;-)... Mike

Better sizzling in the pan maybe to show the outdoorsy quality. A thought anyway.. had our honeymoon in Gatlinburg and the Smokies. Never lacked for sweet goodies down South....gs

The good book says something about temptation and this image is weakening my resolve. A fine shot that augments my hunger.

Gerry, of course that would be a good idea, but in this case it looked pretty dry and boring in the pan.  It wasn't until I iced it and pulled it apart that it started looking irresistible.  :-)  I appreciate your visit!

Temptation big time!  We don't usually eat this stuff (well, at least not often), but we have a tradition of making these at least once every time we go camping.  We always invite someone over when we do or we'd eat the entire pan by ourselves. :-)  Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion.  I had not entered it, but based on your suggestion I went ahead and did it!  Thanks for the idea and visit!
