Thank you both!  Yeah, he accommodated me nicely with this profile pose.  I think he almost looks artificial!  :-)  Anyway, I couldn't resist, and it's certainly easier taking pictures of birds on the ground than flying in the air!

Wow, he has some 'ego'!!!  He really froze his 'strut' just for you!! I almost thought he was one of those beautiful garden 'statues' at first....but at a closer look, he is for real!!! Such beautiful feathers with lovely depth of colour. I imagine he has his pick of the ladies!!

A really fine rooster and the focus and clarity on this one is superb. The French use a different word.

Gail......I know......with the way the light is hitting the rooster, it almost does make it look fake.  He was strutting, but fortunately I caught him between steps.  :-)   Thanks!

Tony....yes, I know that word.  ;-)  French was my language, and I still can speak a bit when I need to.
