M_Lipakis 3 Posted March 8, 2015 That's what i am jealous of. To get the soul out of a model's eyes in an image like this.In this case you the body language and the transparency of her skin leak out even more info about her. True or false, it doesn't matter, the story is up to each spectator to tell...Keep on shooting. Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted March 9, 2015 I don't think it is severe so much as intense and determined. It may be just the photo, but so often I have seen character formed at this early age. If you cover the remainder and look only at the eyes, it is impressing. Very good, bravo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 9, 2015 This has so many good qualities, particularly the delicate high-key effect of her skin and even her tight-lipped expression which is a bit stern and even a little off-putting but makes for an engaging portrait perhaps because it is a bit off-putting, therefore intriguing. But, for me, the eyes are an anomaly, too different from the rest, so they give her an alien-like character. It's like they've been too isolated and played with compared to the rest, so they seem foreign. Link to comment

sideris 0 Posted March 13, 2015 Thank you my friend, I'm flattered with your comment, but, more I see this image and more mysterious she is for me, her expression is a signature of character. JohnI guess you're right about the name, perhaps "Intense" could be more appropriated than "Severe". For sure her gaze is impressive, as her irreverence and freedom of spirit are. My muse, now she is 16 y.o. (she was 10 y.o. in this pic), and part of these fascinating rebellious character was replaced by the shyness of the adolescence. Fred¿Anomaly? Perhaps you hit the nail, overwhelming the singular expression of her lips is her gaze, mesmerizing in a rare way. For sure this "anomaly" emerges from inside. On the other hand, in those days the ability of this young girl creating atmospheres and changes of mood was astounding. This is one of her characterizations. MauThank you a lot for your kind of "welcome again" message!! I appreciate your words caro amico. This is the result of several shots (more than 15) and this is what I consider the best one. I can't believe yet how I did this photo! Link to comment
