Tree Trunk Abstract - Roatan - Honduras

Dear Tony, you've focused on details and it's worthy. I also find interesting that the strength of these main two colors green/ginger is the same, they are opposite, so their combination is not uncomfortable to our sight.

There is great subtlety. Closing the frame, you've filled the image with designs and shapes :)

The three wounds on the tree remind me of the wounds of Christ, you see ... it also opens our imagination, so thanks for sharing.

Laura - it is good to get a fresh pair of eyes to provide a refreshing interpretation. Somewhere in the good book you are not to yield to temptation and I managed to comply. Imagine if I had turned this image clockwise into a landscape mode image, it would be easy to come up with an entirely different interpretation  (a gun, etc)  and I avoided that!

Are these wounds on the surface? no, perhaps this has to do with time and memory...  the beauty of organic colours stretching freely through some strong imaginative space.  Tony, Thanks for sharing your sensibility.
