Still lots of snow on the ground, cold wind chills and longing for the

bright colours of summer. Still, if we have loving family and friends in

our lives, there is a warmth present that transcends all others. (any

comments, visits are always appreciated - Many thanks, Gail :)

Gail

Having awoke to very grey wet world this morning, this is just the tonic. A dynamic creation full of hope/optimism in the knowledge that vibrant new life will come in the springtime. Love the pink petal forms. Just brilliant.

Regards

Tony

Perhaps this one could also be good in b/w?

This is wonderful, Gail. I feel like I'm looking at the Rose window at Notre Dame Cathedral. Good to see you posting something new. Hope it's not one and done.

I feel like Jack says that we are looking to a Rose Cathedral but different in a way,is light and colors that enjoy the eyes and make us think to a sens for this, for sure each one can see something different and this is very well.

I have posted it in Black and White as you suggested. So nice to hear from you and appreciate your encouraging words expressed.  I imagine your temps will soon warm up and Spring is just around the corner!!

When I was working on this one, the first thought that entered my mind was 'glass'.  I haven't been online so much of late.  Been experiencing one of those 'blank' periods. I open an image and I just get 'stuck'. But it is not worrying me. Hope I will not be absent for too long. Many thanks for your encouragement Jack and thanks for missing me.

Your encouragement and the fact that you have missed me posting is good to hear. It should help me get motivated more :) I really enjoyed your recent posting of the Ice Formations along the coast. Brutal Winter in so many places, but does add to what can be captured.

Sincere thanks for your kind words that I always enjoy hearing. Your recent images really have encouraged me to get more active in my Photo taking. I do not do a lot in Winter. The wicked Wind Chills have me hibernating, other than visiting my Dad.  I have been a bit leary of slipping and falling on all the ice (re shoulder) - don't ever want to deal with that again!!! Love your recent work. Your eye for the beauty in Nature inspires!

So nice to hear from you Patsy. I loved your recent image of the Cardinals. I wish there were some near my home. I sometimes hear them in the summer, but no so much in the Winter. We have lots of big old Crows. I imagine if I went further into a wooded area I would see much more.

Hi Gail, I just want to let you know the original of this is also very nice. The colors and bokeh are what caught my eye. I love your PP work but there is absolutely truth in that it's only as good as what you started with. Take care.

Great Photoshop result. In each sector I see a person holding a staff (could be drumsticks beating on the head of an owl) in each hand with two others, each looking over his\her shoulder.  Your mileage may vary.  Could also be the effects induced by the wine. :-)  I too make like a groundhog for most of the winter while working on last summer's images.  But my successes pale compared to your efforts here.  Nicely done!  Best, Len.

Did I mention that I would like to see it in color version? Well, I know saw it and my verdict is kind of diplomatic: Everything has its beauty!

Did anybody notice that there is a man sitting, pictured from front side and two nephews on his knees, four times in the pink area?

Cheers to that!

Best regards, Gail!

You really saw more than I even did, but I do see what you see when I concentrate on it!! actually I did the Colour Version first, then the black and white.

Somehow, sipping on some wine does make one relax and 'see' perhaps a bit more than normal. So glad you enjoyed this one. Your work is just fine!
