Walk on by. Tried to capture the idea of people avoiding contact with a

beggar in the streets. Tight crop to show them edging out of frame etc. Any

comments appreciated, William

Effective and well done. They want no part of it. I guess sometimes when you're exposed to this on a daily basis you become immune, those of us that don't see this often might feel differently. The point is your image successfully portrays this.

Holger

Very effective crop indeed and very good good angle on the trio shown diverted at an angle from the parallel of the walkway stones as if walking too close might create an obligation to give.I don't face this situation here in my rural setting, but lived this in my working days in the big city.Going out to lunch would present this type of situation, often a lot more aggressive than this bowing lady and one could spend his/her lunch money even giving little to each of these needy persons. So,I had my selected few to whom I gave regularly but also stopped for a small chat which seemed to be as welcomed as the drop in the cup.Anyways, excellent telling image.....going to my Favorites.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

A sad capture of the current state of the human race. You have perfectly captured the 3 people putting distance between themselves and the beggar...forcing their eyes forward so as to possibly excuse their action (inaction really) of not doing anything by telling themselves they didn't see the person. Well captured and presented indeed.

Modern world. That's what we are?

Yes, indifferent world. Frozen souls.

That is.

Terrific capture.

Horrible human kind.

They are not concerned  in this beggar at all. At portray of real life. Sad but true. You accomplished your task. Great picture indeed :)

Warmest regards,

I see by the previous remarks that this image can be interpreted a thousand different ways, and that sir is the mark of a good image.

To me, the most powerful element is each passerby's facial expression and head position.  These people are not accidentally ignoring the beggar.  They obviously believe that ignoring her will make her disappear.

The image is technically sound.  No need to repeat previous comments in this regard.
