uwestiens 0 Posted October 3, 2003 I'm not sure where the lines in the sky came from. Maybe you can help me with this problem. Thanks, Uwe. Link to comment
airman 0 Posted October 3, 2003 This looks like a scanner problem, plus some jpeg compression. Try scanning to a TIF file and convert to jpeg at the end of any processing you need. Link to comment

uwestiens 0 Posted October 3, 2003 Pablo, thanks for your hint. I will try it. I never had this problem before. Loft, I actually have an old picture with my mother in front of the town entry sign in Stiens. She grew up near by. Thanks for your comment. Regards, Uwe. By the way, I like your portrait, Loft. peter_daalder 0 Posted November 2, 2003 Have seen artefacts like this before. I have a CanoScan FS-4000U film scanner. Strangely, it seems to be only certain slidefilms that cause scanning difficulties like this. Very much like your idea of framing the "view", but not sure if it came out exactly as you had hoped for.
