Stranded! High winds and 40 cm of snow left the area totally blocked

and brought things to a stand still.Thank you for your cdomment-Laurent

Good choice! I would choose that also;biggest problem in a blizzard aside from power running out for broken trees on the lines is that exterior doors have to be kept clear(storm doors open out),so every three or four hours, they have to be shovelled out. This one I shovelled at 4 am and had to clear a trail for Caramelle who wanted out but by morning,I had to use the upper level door top come out.Winter fun we call it! As always, thank you for looking in and for the observation.

Yesterday was a stay-in day but today was a dig-out day.Afternoon was nice, only about -10C,but ate some of the blown snow from the blower;not pretty, but this is how I looked after over three hours on that tractor;Monique took this shot as I came in.Forecast says we will be storm free for a few days.Thank you for the kind reflection....and you guys also keep warm

Laurent, when snow came by night in my area I have to clean no more than 20m long and 10 wide but here is work for ten men and is possible after this a new blizzard to move all in place, but this is winter for those who usually have one. What would be very good if possible, is springtime to come earlier and snow just Dec and Jan.

Nice shot! Hope you didn't get to taste any of that yellow snow!

I see you have one of those greying snow catchers on your chin too :)

I was wondering how you were going to get the car out with your Massey - I think I saw other pics of yours demonstrating it. what fun!! Just be glad you are on a level piece of ground - none of that around here- makes getting up the driveway all that more exciting. No need for extreme sports for us- we get to do stuff like that all the time!! just living....

Here,we often have this wishful thinking how wonderful a two month winter would be,but our reality is more like 5 months.Around the house,I have approx.160 M long by 5M wide but I have my faithful tractor to help me with cleaning up.Hope is around the corner with only 6 weeks to go.

Salutations amicales-Laurent

Greg,

You are kind....those snow catchers are SANTA white and at 70,I know better than getting into that yellow snow. You are right if anything to be grateful it is to be on the flat although the 4X4 on that old Massey works pretty good.Nice shot from the goat barn....I remember your place from shots you had of an ice storm that took down a lot of trees some time back.

Take care,

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
