andresfaya 0 Posted February 14, 2015 The decisive moment!I like how the heels are slightly above the ground and how you have the negative space in the lower part of the image. The walking stick adds a different element and I can't decide whether I like it or not.Maybe cropping out the stick and the left food of the man could render an interesting image also. Just ideas of course :) Link to comment
Bachir 0 Posted February 14, 2015 Ruud, Such a strong and beautiful word "together", I like it very much and with the photograph, I imagine the couple hand in hand, perhaps an old lady and her daughter, perhaps just friends or perhaps a stranger giving a helping hand to an old person with a cane to cross the road together. Excellent capture! Link to comment
gregverena 338 Posted February 14, 2015 Just legs, but you tell a story with your capture, they are in step with each other, also the cane invokes thoughts. Very well done. Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 258 Posted February 16, 2015 Bravo, Ruud! Looks like a part of funeral procession! Classic artistic B&W shot! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted February 16, 2015 well, I wouldn't say the "decisive" moment is key here (though the moment just before their feet touch the ground plays a role). To me the power of the photo lies in the tension between what is in the frame and what is outside: from the elements (woman's shoes, men's shoes, the type of shoes, the walking sticK) inside we can (well, have to) guess what is outside, which opens the photo to a wide range of potential stories; therefore, I think the walking stick is important! cyanatic 0 Posted January 18, 2016 Lovely detail and angle. Love that cane. As sense of personality communicated only with feet (and a cane). Nicely done! Link to comment
