That's a large crayfish, how does the duck peel it and eat it?  Excellent shot, I like how the water beads on it's back.... Mike

Edit:  Ah, just saw the last in the series.  He just swallows it whole! ;-)

Thanks Mr. Mancil! A few weeks back I had a Red-breasted Merganser with a crab and she ate that the same way .. swallow whole. The one that supprise me most is the Surf Scotter (black seaduck) which swallow whole clams .

So cute bird captured in the natural environment!
