Lovely moment captured well. The subject and composition are both appealing.

The presentation could be improved by adjustment to the colour, to compensate for the yellow colour of the (probably incandescent) light source either by preseting white balance at time of shooting, or processing after the shot. If post (after the shot) processing, it would be easier if it had been shot in "raw" mode, but even from the existing jpg, some adjustment can be made, in my opinion.

I don't mean to offend by my suggestion, but rather to encourage you to further your skills which are evident by the good points of the photo.

Wayne- thank you for your constructive critics and post-processing. I am traveling and do not have any of the tools I would use back home to manipulate my photos. This was shot in the light of a heater:) - so no wonder the color turned out different. So, very kind of you to assist me with this photo which I felt was worth posting. Thank you again! br Hannu

This is touching and beautifully composed. I like the warm glow of the picture which fits the dreamlike quality and don't think I'd adjust the color in this case.

.... and the photographer is on duty....

Jack  - thank you for your kind words, it never harms to compare two photos - that's what we do all the time.. Have to tell you that the original unmanipulated version might look unnatural to some but for me as it is a documentary of the cold but funny days we had in that house:)
