I like the composition of this piece with the large structure leading us in the frame, moving off to the utility pole and the darkend house. Very nicely done

Thanks Tony. I reframed it to exclude the left side of the near house (uninhabited) and adjusted verticals to make the pole parallel to it and the edge of the frame as well as the inhabited house in the background. This meant that I had a cropped top on the main house but somehow that seemed OK.

 

There are a lot of compositional adjustments we can make to any photo to change the feeling, so I try to keep in mind to leave a bit of extra space when making the initial exposure.The only other thing I tried here was to darken the sky by reducing the blue slider. It's not a "wow" type image but I am happy with it as it reflects my thoughts when I saw the scene.
