gungajim 75 Posted February 7, 2015 Laurent, I have a little presentation on travel photography that I have given locally 5 or 6 times. One of my topics is how there is a tendency for a little red car to creep into our composition no matter where we are in the world! This is a classic example. :-) Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 7, 2015 Dramatic use of just the slightest bit of color but what an impact it makes in the rugged monochrome landscape. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 7, 2015 You are right about little red cars showing up in the most unusual places.I doubt you will find one higher than this one seized at the TICLIO pass in the Peruvian Andes at almost 16,000 ft.altitude.That rail track you see in the foreground is claimed to be the highest standard gauge railroad in the world at 4818 m above mean sea level;in all your travels, you have probably gone over this pass.Thank you for stopping on this one.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 7, 2015 I have a shot of this(somewhere) with another color vehicle and it does not have the same impact.Thank you for looking in and for the observation.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted February 9, 2015 It seems that your experience there had lot of excellent locations and subjects to be caught, this is really very interesting.Large view shows this winter scene in bw and just a bit of blue on water surface-reflection and of course red car.I think was not at all easy to that altitude for sure very cold too.You uploaded many photos from Peru with people portraits but this landscape is something different and good to know about it. frigo 4,155 Posted February 9, 2015 Thank you my friend. This is actual color of the Ticlio pass in the middle of summer but just after a light snowfall. Not so cold as you can see the lake is not frozen but at this altitude of near 4900m,not much air as yu can imagine.I have many photos still in storage and will eventually post.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
