This photo was taken last Sunday morning after a twelve hour journey from London to Mauritius.

I particularly like the original posted image that projects an abstract reality.  All of these shots are remarkably good, especially through those horrible airplane windows.  Good stuff... Mike

The lights in the cabin were out and the window shatters were drawn for the passengers to sleep...I woke up at 4am and I kept opening the shutter a little to see outside...It was very dark and I was getting rather impatient as, I followed the route of the aircraft, I knew that we were over the Indian Ocean. When I raised the shutter a little around 5.30, I saw this magnificent light. I had my compact ready and I took the shot that you see..-:). Surprisingly it is not bad as you said ''aircraft windows''..I took the lens cap off and I got the camera lens as close to the window as poss.

Thanks for your comment Mike.

I share Mikes view on this one, the abstract nature of the photo and the contrasting colours are really well rendered.

I hope you are enjoying your holiday my friend!

You can imagine my excitement when I saw this amazing light on the aircraft engine...as for my holiday..there are two seasons here, the rainy one and when it rains. In between there are glimpses of paradise..-:). Joking aside we are having a wonderful time. Thanks for your visit and commend, my friend.

Greetings from Mauritius.
