Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 4, 2015 I'm starting to get my feet wet with portraiture. Please be detailed and critical in your comments. I want to get better, and I would appreciate any advice. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 4, 2015 Well done! An excellent commercial, glamour shot and I like the directional lighting... Mike Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2015 Thumbs up on this one. Natural and refreshing looking. Like the way the hair catches the breeze and his expression is pleasant without feeling at all put on. Only comment would be about the orange shadow line along the diagonal hairline running down his forehead. If that orange glow were lessened a bit, I think there'd be a more natural look to the whole. Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 18, 2015 Mike, thanks! This was one of my first portraits during the summer. We were paired together in studio. He's a sweet guy, but very shy, and I wondered what I would do with him. But I'm sure he was wondering even more what he was going to do with a 60-year old lady! Well, within a short period of time I had him relaxing and smiling (not here, of course), and that was the turning point for me with regard to portraiture. I actually found myself enjoying it, and when I first got to school I had absolutely NO interest in portraiture. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 18, 2015 When I zoomed way in on this I could see what you're talking about. Yes, that has to go! One of these days I'm going to invest in a larger monitor because I often miss little details. That's why I ask for help! Thanks for your input! Link to comment
